I've always thought of the random bits of flotsam/jetsam that accumulate my life are normal and happen to everyone. This however, may not be true. I may be different.
- I've poked myself in the butt with knitting needles that I was carrying in my purse.
- I have an area in my living room devoted to rubber stamps.
- I've had secret pals whom I've never met.
- I've met people whom I only knew on the internet.
- I currently have three stamp pads in my purse.
- I own more yarn than canned goods.
- The sewing machine is my most prominent decoration at the moment.
- I've had beads turn up in my car, in my bathtub and stuck to my face.
- Whenever I have non-crafty type guests, I will hide most of my yarn (at least one of the baskets) because they can't stop talking about it.
- Old wallpaper sample books are a treasure trove.
- I've lost sleep thinking about what to make next.
- Most of my sweats and pjs have paint on them.
- I own dozens of quilting books and magazines but have never completed a quilt.
- I can't go through a magazine without making sure there aren't pages I want to cut out for collage.
- I have a drawer full of mosaic tiles, Barbie shoes, feathers, dominos, leather, brown kraft paper boxes and mahjong tiles. None of these items have ever been used in the fashion for which they were created.
- I have unfinished projects that date back to the 80s.
- I've knit for 8 hours straight.
- I've been known to sew an outfit the night before I needed to wear it.
Doesn't everyone do this? Doesn't everyone have a crazy D-I-Y kind of life? Apparently not. Apparently I, and others like me are in the minority. But that's okay, because there are plenty enough other folks out here to keep me company.
On another note, look for some new files I plan to transfer over from the old site this week. And I hope you check out some of the new links!
I can't stop laughing... and I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you. It's always nice to know I'm not the only one with things accidentally stuck to my face or hiding the "stash" so people don't think (or know) I'm totally crazy (for knitting, that is). Great blog!

~WHEW~ I am so glad I am not alone with all these DIY projects and object stuffed into every nook and cranny in my house. I have more hobbies than I can count on one hand. It's how I like to entertain myself....that's at least how I justify all the rubbermaid totes full of yarn in my living room and the growing collection of beads that I am now acquiring.
