I've mentioned Natalie Dee before, but this deserves another link: Dog Toy Cemetary and Dog Personals cracked me up. I think her dog bits are some of the funniest.
Also, I got some cool schwag in the mail this week.
I won Vogue Knitting Classics on eBay. There's a lot of cabled things, which I don't particularly like on myself but it also has this:
Which shows rose quartz dangling from the corners. So lovin' that.
I think I like this coat too. Worried that it may be too bulky for me though. Takes a lot of yarn - 24 balls of Filatura Di Crosa Muschio, 7 balls Ultralight and 5 balls of Zara - worked 5 strands together!
There's this shawl too. It's very nice. BUT I want the hat and the flowers! NOT included. I'll have to check to see if it's on the Vogue website.
Each pattern comes with the original picture from the 30s-60s.
These crack me up: Midge & Madge ~ Madcap Models on the Go.
And isn't that the infamous Blue Steel that Madge is flashing us?
I also got a bunch of Golden Hands booklets from the 60s - I'll have to share those at another time. Can't locate my camera and scanning these babies in took more time than I intended.
The premiere issue of k.1 by Vogue Knitting has those flowers! I don't know where you can pick one up but they still must be available somewhere.
