So, this is going to have to be an installment series. Seems we did a lot those four hot Arizona days.
I'm starting with Saturday. That was the day of the show/sale. Such amazing talented artists! One of the fab people I met was the Crafty Chica herself, Kathy Cano Murillo. I bought one of her La Fina Latina picture bracelets. I bought it for a gift for a friend. Gee, I hope she gets it. I've already worn it once. I picked this one because one of the pictures says Chi-Chi bar & grill and I'm just infantile enough that "chi-chi" makes me giggle.
After the show I wanted to get a photo with Kathy, but she had already left. She is soooo nice - one of those people you want to ask to be your best friend about ten minutes after meeting.
She had some way cool Day of the Dead prints by her husband that I thought about getting, but seriously, a girl has to pace herself at this show! I was likely to have run out of money in the first fifteen minutes! Kathy has a blog, which is CHOCK FULL of all sorts of artsy goodness. Take a week and dive in!
On another quick note, I needed a quick birthday present because the scarf I was making turned out to take longer than planned (although it's looking quite nice). So here's a picture of Melanie's new birthday earrings.
I love how they came out. It's a jasper stone at top, a carved ... uh, forgot what it's called and faceted crystal at bottom. They're lightweight and the crystal catches the light nicely. Hope you like them Mel! Happy Birthday!
Finally, after a quick trip to visit Spaazlicious' blog I'm delighted to say that I am my gym excuse!
Which Horrible Affliction are you?
I used to always tell my gym teacher that I couldn't suit up because I had bubonic plague. Actually, that was a good excuse for late homework, bad test results and tardiness. Yup. Bubonic plague. That's me! Guess that means I'm not getting an engraved invitation to Europe anytime soon.
thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful comments! i'm so happy you like my bracelet. here is a big hug for you ((((...))). peace and crafts aalways!! kathy :-) (crafty chica)

Dude, you are some excellent population control!
And a hell of an enabler. I love that bracelet, I'll have to check her out.
