I've been tired. Not just, oh-I-need-a-little-power-nap tired, but I'm almost to the point of drinking coffee tired. And frankly, I've never been tired enough to drink a cappucino, so I hope you get what I'm saying here.
I've been working a lot and even though I've been trying to get to bed early, it's a little difficult trying to get my brain to slow down enough so I can get to sleep. You know it's bad when you try to convince yourself that a little nap while driving wouldn't be a bad idea - it's a straight road, right?
So I decided yesterday, after a good 12 hour sleep, to spend the day knitting. I made one of the fingerless mitts from Weekend Knitting
.
I think they need some sort of embellishment - knit flowers maybe?
It's from some TLC super soft stuff that splits like a mother. I've learned to do short rows on this and am wondering what the heck I was so afraid of. I've got a new appreciation for that book. The directions are really well written and precise. I sort of poo-pooed the book when it was first recommended to me - thought the projects looked too difficult for my level of knitting, but now it's become one of my favorite books. It's high in readability, the instructions are well written and the pictures are really good.
I finished three garter stitch scarves for the craft show
I've also started Wavy from Knitty.

I like it in this Moda Dea stripe yarn.
Bought Sims Nightlife last week. Haven't had much opportunity to play with it yet though. I did the chance to have my sim go to one of the nightclubs and do the "smustle" on the dance floor. Too funny.
This may also be the last week you hear from me. I anticipate spending a lot of time with a much anticipated arrival. Friday afternoon, I get cable! Can you believe it! I've gone a year and half without, but now I'm back in the ranks of the couch potatoes. I expect to be as slack-jawed, empty-eyed and vapid as a Federline about 36 hours post installation. But I'll save you some Cheetos!
