I love the Knitty surprises. I especially love Yorick. Too bad I don't have enough time to make it for Halloween. Next year right?
I started this scarf from Knitscene:
I had to rework it for the correct gauge. The pattern lists the yarn used, but doesn't say how thick it is, just that it is used double. I'm using the heathery acrylic (TLC Heathers - gotta love a yarn named after a 80s movie. I wonder if Winona Ryder ever stole this yarn...) I got from Nancy's a couple of weeks ago. It's really soft.
I wish the photo was better - I can't see how this scarf is going to lay. I guess it's a Knitscene surprise! Seeing how it is only five rows long, I hope to finish it on the way to work in the morning.
I love this hat. It's from the same yarn as the scarf, and uses the same size N hook, and is measured in single crochet....but the the gauge is different! Hmmmm. I may make one of these if I have enough yarn left from the scarf.
I think this tube top is lovely. Of course, as I am now a woman of a certain age, I would have to make this about two feet longer to ensure proper coverage.... I want to find a way to convert into a tank top. Darn it! I want to knit for MEEEEEE!
Have you checked out these cuffs by Marnie? Are they not the coolest?
I'm still powering ahead and getting ready for the big craft show at the end of November. I was originally trying to keep it all to knit and crochet items with some sewn goodies to round it out, but now I think I will just go for broke. Anything and everything. Sometimes I get home and I don't want to knit. I want to stamp. So I will. If it sells, it sells. If it doesn't, it doesn't. So I guess I will have a table full of scarves, hats, jewelry, cards, collage and more. Yay! I don't feel nearly as stressed now.
