I admit, the hat thing is getting out of hand. The first step is admitting there's a problem right? I'm supposed to be working on the World's Most Jacked Up Sock, but can't quite seem to get in the rythym. Instead I forge ahead and make hats. Perhaps because hats and scarves are the only thing I can make while watching movies without totally getting off track. Besides, you don't need to carry a pattern when you're making a hat. And it's too hot to sit around with a sweater on your lap.
Enough excuses?
A couple of weeks ago we all met at Heidi's for a Project Runway marathon and Mary-Kay (who is evil not just because she is moving far, far away, but because she twisted my arm and tortured me and MADE me do this) brought yarn she was trying to get rid of. Me, being an absolute sucker for stray ends of yarn, I was forced to take this:
Which last night became this:
The yarn is all Karabella Aurora 8 - 100% merino irrestringibile (whatever that means). Not only did I make a hat, but I fell in love with yet another yarn!
You're a cruel woman, Mary-Kay.
