'Lectricy Woes

I've written about my electricity problems before, remember?  About every 2 or 3 years a bunch of stuff will just go haywire on me.  I'll fry a DVD player, literally explode a light bulb, burn out a hard drive or something.  And everything will go kaput at about the same time.  I've gotten used to it.

I'm playing the Heroes game on Facebook (if you're on Facebook, lemme know and I'll send ya an invite so I can get points!) and am arbitrarily assigned an ability.  I get Electric Manipulation.  Funny, huh?

Anyway, that's not really the point.  Tuesday night I was sitting at home and watching American Idol (the first episodes are my favorite - the ones who can't carry a tune in a bucket who think they're the next Faith Hill, Celine Dion or Mariah Carey...) and *poof!* TV goes out. Heater goes out.  Thought I'd overloaded the circuit although that circuit has been loaded the same for pretty much the last 10 years.  I unplugged the TV and the heater - the outlet feels a little warm.  Okay, that is possibly not good.  I wait a bit and it cools down. The surrounding wall feels cool to the touch.

Next I move to the circuit breaker.  Flip. Flip. Nada.  Seems I've lost all power along that wall excluding the wall heater in the bedroom as that is on a different circuit.  Nice.  So yesterday I call the Electric Company and Morgan Freeman told me I had to call SDGE.  SDGE says to try the outside breaker.  So last night I have my  neighbor climbing through the bushes and skirting ledges to flip. Flip. Flop.

Now it seems I have to have the circuit breaker replaced.  Ugh! Meanwhile my house is the ultimate mess as I am cleaning out closets and pantries and bookshelves and piling everything in the living room.  Lovely. 

Next to go?  I'm thinking my cell phone. It's doing some pretty strange things lately.  Maybe I should start a pool.

Oh gosh..thats too funny..I remember a post from you a long time ago about all your electrical stuff on the fritz! Better join Charles Xaviers school for Mutants and learn how to hone those powers for the greater good hehe!
